This website is a tribute to those that have gone before us and helped pave the way in building what is now known as Great Basin College. The college has changed over the years as far as its name while expanding at an astounding rate but the principles it was founded on have remained the same.

We wish to recognize the College Founders (Mark and Kathy Chilton, Fred and Helen Harris, Paul Sawyer, Dr. Les Moren, Mike Marfisi, Carl Shuck, Dr. Hugh Collett, Bob Burns, Jr., Al Huber and Bill Wunderlich ) and the Community Leaders that endured the challenges of the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and now the 2000s, the Friend we found in Howard Hughes, the partners that contributed or made donations to the college over the years, the enormous group of Faculty, Staff and Students that have graced our halls and held onto the vision of excellence in education, the Communities of Battle Mountain, Carlin, Elko, Ely, Jackpot, McDermitt, Owyhee, Wells, Wendover, and Winnemucca, the Mining Industry, the Foundation Staff, Board of Directors and Advisory Boards that have never stopped seeking resources to make this college the example it is today and the Board of Regents and University System of Nevada for the loyal support and opportunities for growth.

The Alumni Directory is designed and will be supported only for official college and alumni organization business and for individual communication of a personal nature between and among Great Basin College Friends and Family.
